Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday - Summer Luvin'

Happy Friday and first day of summer!! Ahh, I love summer :) And for the first Friday of summer, our challenge this week at Little Scrap Pieces is "Summer Luvin'"...any card, layout or project celebrating summer :)

I was afraid I wouldn't get my post done in time today...I spent the morning shopping for my other passion besides crafting...books. Half Price Books holds an annual clearance sale at the Indy Fairgrounds. Paperbacks were 50 cents!! I stocked up!!

The base of the card is a Spellbinders Grand Labels 1 die, inked with Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Distress Ink. It was then flicked with water. The next layer is a Spellbinders Labels 8 die. The beach huts are from Artistic Outpost's Boardwalk stamp set (love it!!). They were stamped with Ranger Coffee Archival Ink. The Labels 8 was then inked with Salty Ocean on the top and Gathered Twigs on the bottom for sand, and again, flicked with water. The girl was stamped with French Ultramarine Archival Ink. Her umbrella was colored in with Peeled Paint Distress Ink and a TH waterbrush. She was cut out and popped up with foam tape.

The waves are a Spellbinders Nautical Frames and Accents die, inked with Salty Ocean. The sentiment is from the Artistic Outpost Boardwalk set, stamped with Versafine Onyx ink on a Spellbinders Card Creator Matting Basics A die, the edges inked with Salty Ocean. The Atlantic City stamp was stamped with Jet Black Archival ink on a Spellbinders Standard Circles small die.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Artistic Outpost June Referral Program - Anything Goes Using Artistic Outpost Stamps
  2. DL.Art - Anything Goes Linky Party
  3. Sunday Funday #10- June Anything Goes
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Little Scrap Pieces to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Summer Luvin' project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

Although I have been on vacation for 2 weeks I haven't been to the beach yet. In another week or two I am heading to Flagler Beach for the day. We never go for long because you will get burnt easily within an hour or two (even with sunscreen). Great beach scene.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Georgiana

I love to read too. But lately I fall asleep after a page or two. The vibrant blue background rally show off the stamps.

My sweetest friend, that sentiment is absolutely perfect for YOU! :o) Everything beachy instantly makes me think of you. Your distressing is always gorgeous and I am enamored with this shade. Stunning! I love how you flicked water atop it.. just another stroke of brilliance. :o) I love the stamps and your use of them... beautiful color choices and her umbrella is so pretty. :o) The waves are such a whimsical (and appropriate!) border. This must have been a blast for you, my dear friend! Happy first day of summer and I'm glad you were able to indulge your other passion. :o)

Hugs and blessings!
